Jigan Trek intrioduction: Mount Jigan is located in He’nan county of Qinghai Province. The place is populated with Magolian and Tibetan nomads together and believed in Tibetan Buddhism. It is a vast grassland in the vicinity so called Sogwo grassland. All among the treks in Amdo, Mount Jigan (Big Sword Mountain) is one of the Buddhit’s holy mountains in Mongolian-Tibetan area in Qinghai province. It is slightly a huge range of hill covering Padmasabhawa’s meditation cave, Dolma (Tara) Temple, a Small lake called Lhamo Lhatso Etc. Jigan Trekking tour is the best choice nowadays!
Pilgrim route takes a clockwise track circumambulating the whole mountain. The Palace of medicine Buddha and infernal realms are also believed to be exited. If you do a kora (circumambulate) in the year of monkey is the most merit-able year.
The top of Jigan (sword mountain) is shooting up to 4900 meters. The trekking track is typically up and down hike from 3000 – 4900 meter. You will reach to a Lab-tse, poles with little inscribed flags are pitched and gods are invoked to help travellers.

Day 1: Xining - He'nan County
Pick up from your hotel in Xining and drive to He’nan county. Stay in a Mongolia-Tibetan styled tent.
Day 2: He'nan County - Necked Valley
Drive 40km to Nikedi Valley and trek about 5-10 km there. Camp.
Day 3: Trek from Nikedi - Shugtri Thang
Trek from Nikedi to Shugtri Thang via Thergan pass. Trek 3-5km to the top of Jigan Lhadrak Karpo mountain (about 4800 meters). Then trek down to Yama Tharkung to Shugtri Thang. 15-20km. Camp.
Day 4: Trek to Nekhang Cave
Trekking from Shugtri Thang to Nekhang Cave. 15-20km. Camp.
Day 5: Explore Nekhang and Enter the cave
Explore the area as a local and enter in the Nekhang cave for 40minutes (pilgrimage adventure) and then drive to Nmatso Lake via Dewachen. 15-20km. Camp.
Day 6: Drive to Local Nomad Area and Experience Horse Riding
Drive back to Local nomad area and experience horse back riding, milking down in the evening time. Stay in a Mongolia-Tibetan styled tent.
Day 7: Drive Back to Xining
Return to Xining and transfer to your hotel.
