This trip is designed for travelers who is expecting the quicker route to access Lhasa and Mt. Kailash. As a local tour company, we have decided to publish this tour even though travellers can ask a customised tour from us. Still, many tourist thinking that overland to Kailash is the best way to get there. However, we can take you from Lhasa to Kailash by flight.
NOTE: In this trip we did not include trekking around Kailash but you can ask our tour operator to include it.

Day 01: Arrive at Lhasa
Upon arrival you will be met by our staff and will be transferred to hotel at center of the Lhasa city. You can walk around Barkhor circuit in the evening time, venture through the most holiest circuamulating Barkhor Street with local pilgrims. Overnight in a medium Hotel in Lhasa.

Day 02: Lhasa Tour: Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street
Today is your first day of sightseeing on the high plateau, so we have purposely arranged only to visit Jokhang temple and Potala Palace. Jokhang temple is the most scared shrine in Tibet which was built in 7th century and located at the heart of old town in Lhasa, the circuit around it called Barkhor street, which is a good place to purchase souvenirs. Potala Palace is the worldwide known cardinal landmark of Tibet. The massive structure itself contains a small world within it. Mostly it is renowned as residence of the Dalai Lama lineages (Avalokiteshvara). Both of them are the focal points of pilgrims from entire Tibetan world, multitudinous pilgrims are circumambulating and prostrating in their strong faith. Overnight in a medium hotel in Lhasa.

Day 03: Lhasa Tour: Visit Drepung and Sera Monasteries
Today you will be arranged to visit Drepung and Sera Monasteries. Both Drepung and Sera monasteries are Gelugpa (yellow hat) sect monastic colleges. Drepung monastery was the seat of the Government prior to Potala, it was once the world’s largest monastery in the history with 10,000 monks hailed from different monasteries all over Tibet. Sera monastery is famous for its Buddhism philosophical debate practice. Overnight in a medium hotel in Lhasa.

Day 04: Lhasa to Ngari Town By Flight and Drive to Dharchen
Today, we will drive 60km to Lhasa Gongkar airport and take Tibet Airline (07:30-09:30) to Ngari (Chi: Ali) Kunsa airport. Then, driver more 225 kilometre to Dharchen (4600m), a town settled below Mt. Kailash. Accommodation: Guesthouse at Dharchen

Day 05: Explore Kailash & Manasarovar
After breakfast, we will drive 40km to Manasarovar Lake (surface 4560m), one of the four holy lakes in the Tibet autonomous region. We will take the eco-bus to do a Kora (circumambulation) around the lake and visit four old monasteries. In the evening, take a bath in the hotspring (own expense) nearby Chiu Monastery. This place is good with panoramic view of mt. Kailash, Manasarovar and Mt. Nemo Nayi. You can take great photos. Accommodation: Tashi GuestGuesthouse at the Lake

Day 06: Drive Back to Ngari Town 200km
Today, we will drive to Lake Rakshasta, the adjacent lake to Manasarovar. Explore the lake and then drive to Ngari town (Chi: A-Li). Accommodation: Shangshung hotel

Day 07: Take Flight to Lhasa and Depart Tibet
Transfer to Airport (25km) and connect flight to Lhasa (10:20-12:25). Your guide will come with you and say goodbye at Lhasa Goangkar airport. Good luck on the rest of your journey. Hope you enjoyed Lhasa to Kailash by Flight tour.
